Creative Sewing is a .5 credit elective course recommended for 10-12th graders upon completion of Intro to FCS. 


This class involves construction of a variety of projects and new innovative technology (embroidery machine). Students will be able to use many designs and techniques on their projects with this new technology.

 

Students will learn the basics of the sewing machine. Through projects selected by the teacher, (pillow case, recycled tie project, and work out arm band) students will be able to build on their skills and find independence through the indiviudal projects they pick themselves. 

 

Evaluation and grading in this course are based on class projects, choice projects, participation, and efficiency.  The student and teacher will evaluate projects sewn.  The student will need to provide fabric, patterns, notions, and any small equipment needed to construct projects.
